Last month, Isaac Posted a note on Fetlife asking if everyone though we could do something like this, we decided to try.
"Centerplate", the concessions provider for Sports Authority Field, has asked us to operate one of their concession stands for the 2017 season. We were able to work with them to select a booth that is only open for Broncos games (and the CU/CSU game) so that we don't have to commit to working the concerts, as well. We were also able to get a booth that only requires 12 people to run.
We have committed to doing so.
In return, ColoradoCAL is guaranteed to get at least $1000 for each event, with the option for more if sales are good or we meet certain criteria (such as being fully staffed and having everyone show up on time).
In order to facilitate this project, CAL has subscribed to Signup.com, a web-based service for volunteer coordination.

Everyone who volunteers during the year is required to attend a CORE training, which will be held on August 26th, at 9am. The CORE training will last three hours.
WE ARE WORKING TO TRY AND HAVE AN OPTION FOR PEOPLE WHO CAN'T MAKE THIS TRAINING, BUT FOR NOW, IT IS REQUIRED
July 30th, 2017
Anyone who serves alcohol (the majority of our volunteers) will be required to be TIPS/TEAM certified. If you already have this certification, you do not need to attend this training, but you will need to provide us with your certification.
There are other dates available for the TIPS training, as well. If you can't stay after the CORE training to do this, we can arrange for an alternate date.
TIPS training lasts approximately 3 hours.
We are required to provide one Stand/Inventory Leader and one Cashier Leader for each event. Volunteers working either of these positions must arrive an extra hour early for each event as well as attend a special training. There are two times available. Training last approximately 3 hours.
July 25th @ 6pm, or
August 8th @ 6pm
We would like to have as many people as possible trained as leaders in order to ensure coverage.
The schedule below are the events that we have committed to working. The times listed are the CALL TIMES for the event, not the event start time. Everyone volunteering is expected to be in the booth and ready by that time, which means going a little earlier to either take the train in or use the free off-site parking and catch the shuttle.
Leaders (Minimum of 2 for each event) are required to be in the booth 1 hour prior to the call time for the general volunteers.
