In 2017, CAL will be bringing some of the best educators from around the country to share their knowledge and experience with the Colorado alternative lifestyle communities.
In keeping with our mission to provide education for the entire Colorado community, and not just those who can afford the high cost of international-level educators, CAL has made the decision to offer the GPS Workshops FREE OF COST for attendees. However, In order to support the cost of transporting, housing, and compensating these educators, we are launching a new program and giving out supporters the opportunity to be among the official Hosts and Sponsors of these events. Those who support the program as Hosts or Sponsors will have the chance to spend time with the presenters outside of the workshops and receive public acknowledgement of their support. Details below.
The presenters listed above have given preliminary confirmation, but may be cancelled if sufficient fund raising is not achieved. Without the support of our hosts, sponsors, and donors, it will not be possible continue to hold these events.
In 2017, we have standardized our guest presenter experiences. The classes will be held on the first Saturday of each month (most months), as well as related events the evening before and the day after. While there may be some exceptions, most of these events will follow this schedule:
Friday: Evening reception at a local bar or restaurant. Opportunity to meet the presenter and hear about their classes.
Saturday: Series of classes, discussions, or workshops with the featured presenter.
Sunday: Private event with the presenter for GPS Hosts and Sponsors of ColoradoCAL
The annual cost of the GPS program in 2017 may be as much as $15,000. In order to support these costs, in addition to the ongoing operational costs of the organization, we must have the support of our community. If sufficient monthly income is not achieved, it may be necessary to cancel some of the presenter events.
Contributions may be made to CAL by using the button below. We will also solicit suggested donations at each individual event. All donations to ColoradoCAL are tax deductable.
One Time Donation
The GPS Hosts help to provide for the costs to transport, house, feed, and compensate our guest presenters.
We have set the maximum number of hosts for 2017 at 30. Individuals may become a GPS Host with either a $500 annual contribution or $50 monthly contribution using the form below.
Hosts will receive:
- Priority seating at GPS events
- An invitation to exclusive private events with each of the guest presenters
- Public acknowledgement and thanks as a GPS Host
Since we are discontinuing the mandatory costs for CAL workshops, we will be discontinuing our membership program, as well, and replacing it with the GPS Host program. Current CAL members may continue their monthly contributions to support CAL or may discontinue them at any time. Any CAL members who wish to become GPS Hosts should contact us at finance@ColoradoCAL.com
Members contributing at or above the "Backer" level will be considered GPS Hosts until or unless they move to the new program.
Individuals or organizations who wish to become sponsors of CAL and the GPS Educational Program with a substantial financial or in-kind contribution (such as products for raffle or providing food for events) may contact us to discuss this at Finance@ColoradoCAL.com
