The Colorado Center for Alternative Lifestyles is a collaborative project intended to create a 24/7 community space that is open and accessible all day, every day. The space will accommodate community meetings, lifestyle-aware professionals, educational presentations, and gatherings of all kinds.
But it is much more than that, too!
We hope to provide a range of services that will benefit people all across the state, including a web-based and telephone crisis support hotline, conflict resolution/mediation, educational resources, and more.
The most important thing that supporters can do right now is subscribe to our email list to receive updates on the project and how they can help. You can also follow us on Meetup, Fetlife, Facebook, or Twitter.
For those those that believe in the mission and are ready to jump in and help, please join as a member today. Our members support our educational work with monthly contributions of $35 or more and receive free or discounted admission to all CAL events. In many months, the total of all event discounts available to members is $50 or more, well over the monthly minimum contribution.
Feel free to get in touch with us on the contact page or by email: firstname.lastname@example.org
The Colorado Center for Alternative Lifestyles (CAL) is committed to creating an environment in our state that supports consenting adults who engage in alternative relationship expressions and structures.
We pursue our vision through direct services, education, and outreach, in conjunction with our partners, to directly benefit individuals who choose alternative lifestyles and the communities that support them.
What do we mean by "Alternative Lifestyles"
The communities that we intend to serve include the following:
Non-Monogamy: Polyamory, swingers, open marriage, plural marriage, etc
LGBTQ+: Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, asexual, pansexual, etc
Kink: Leather, BDSM, M/s, D/s, power exchange, fetish, etc
In other words, we believe in providing support and empowering people to make their own choices with regards to:
How they structure/restrict their relationships
Who they have those relationships with, and
What they do within the bounds of those relationships
The Colorado Center for Alternative Lifestyles is a Coalition Partner with NCSF, and is proud to support national efforts which mirror our own work here in Colorado. Learn more about NCSF here.
